The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating following a fatal traffic crash in Jimboomba around 5pm yesterday, Sunday October 9.

Initial investigations indicate a man was the driver and sole occupant of a car travelling north on Henderson Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Emergency services were unable to revive the man, who passed away at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or with relevant CCTV or dash-cam footage from that area is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigation is continuing.
