The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Hatton Vale in the Lockyer Valley this morning, August 7.

Initial investigations indicate just after 7.30am, a white 2015 Mazda Bt-50 utility was travelling east along the Warrego Highway approaching the intersection of Summerholm Road when it struck a pedestrian.

The driver, a 26-year-old Bundamba man, was not physically injured.

The pedestrian, an 85-year-old Adare man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
