The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal single-vehicle crash at Gunalda this morning, October 7.

Initial investigations indicate around 3:20am, a white Mitsubishi 380 was travelling along Neerdie Rd before it left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver and single occupant of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Cooloola Cove man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the vehicle or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV to come forward.
