A motorcyclist has died following a two vehicle traffic crash in Broadbeach Waters this afternoon, Wednesday November 23.

Preliminary information indicates around 3.30pm a black 2014 Honda CBR300R motorcycle was travelling south along Bermuda Street when the rider crossed the median strip just south of the Monaco Street Bridge, and struck a white 2014 BMW X3 station wagon travelling northbound.

The rider was provided first aid by the driver of the vehicle and an off-duty nurse, however the 37-year-old Varsity Lakes man died at the scene from his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit has begun an investigation, and are calling for witnesses with or without dashcam vision to come forward.
