A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Tuan Forest early this morning, May 23.

The vehicle was discovered by a passing motorist partially submerged in Poona Creek, Cooloola Coast Road, just before 5:30am.

A 63-year-old Torquay man, the driver and sole occupant, was found deceased inside the vehicle.

Police are appealing for anyone who was travelling in the area around the time of the incident or anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
