Introduction
A 52-year-old man has tragically died in a two-vehicle collision on the Great Eastern Highway in Mundaring, east of Perth. The incident occurred on Monday morning and is currently under investigation by the Major Crash unit.
Crash Overview
The collision took place on Monday, August 5th, 2024, at approximately 9:00 AM on the Great Eastern Highway in Mundaring. A white Mitsubishi Pajero and a silver Toyota LandCruiser, both travelling in the same direction, collided, resulting in the death of the Pajero driver.
Fatality and Injuries
The driver of the Mitsubishi Pajero, a 52-year-old man, was taken to Midland Hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Toyota LandCruiser, a 74-year-old man, was uninjured in the incident.
Investigation
The Major Crash unit has launched an investigation into the cause of the collision. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
