Belrose Crash Overview
The Belrose crash occurred on Forest Way at approximately 6:10 am on Tuesday. Emergency services responded to reports of a collision between two cyclists and a car, discovering both cyclists with injuries.
Emergency Response and Tragic Outcome
Paramedics promptly treated both cyclists at the scene of the Belrose crash. One cyclist, a 47-year-old man, was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he tragically succumbed to his injuries two days later. The other cyclist, a 56-year-old man, also suffered serious injuries and was transported to the same hospital.
Belrose Crash Investigation and Charges
The 24-year-old male driver involved in the Belrose crash was uninjured and underwent mandatory testing at a hospital. He was subsequentlytaken to Manly Police Station. Initially charged with negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, the driver now faces the additional charge of negligent driving occasioning death. He was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before Manly Local Court on July 24.
