On Tuesday morning, October 22, 2024, at approximately 7:30 AM, an ambulance was involved in a crash with a car at the intersection of Albany Creek Road and Beckett Road in Bridgeman Downs, Brisbane. The collision caused the ambulance to roll onto its side.
Details of the Crash
The ambulance, which was responding to an urgent call-out with its lights and sirens activated, collided with a car at the intersection. The impact of the crash caused the ambulance to overturn. Fortunately, there were no patients in the back of the ambulance at the time of the incident.
Injuries
While the crash appeared dramatic, the individuals involved escaped with relatively minor injuries. Two paramedics in the ambulance, a man and a woman, sustained shoulder injuries. A female student paramedic who was also in the ambulance suffered minor injuries. The driver of the car, a man, sustained shoulder and knee injuries.
Hospitalization
All four individuals involved in the crash were transported to St. Andrews Hospital in stable condition for further assessment and treatment.
